Quest Program
If you have a passion for knowledge and a desire to succeed, your Lawrence Tech QUEST begins here!
|
Take your studies above and beyond the classroom and into the real world with Lawrence Tech’s Quest program. A co-curricular experiential learning initiative, Quest is for highly motivated arts and sciences students who want more out of their education, as well as an advantage at graduation time. Beginning your sophomore year, you’ll choose three projects from five categories, each to be completed within one year. As part of your project, you’ll create and manage a portfolio, give a presentation, and gain real-world, hands-on experience while working under the guidance of a professor, staff member, alumnus, administrator, or industry sponsor. Not only does the Quest program allow you to pursue your interests on a deeper level, it can help you test and identify different career paths. You’ll also gain official recognition for your efforts. In addition to your traditional GPA transcript, you’ll receive a narrative evaluation transcript upon Opened Minds Open Doors graduation, which, along with the portfolio you’ve created, can set you apart with prospective employers. Because “opened minds open doors,” your Quest experience can broaden your educational opportunities outside of the classroom and give your resume that competitive edge you’ll need to succeed. |
You’ll choose your three Quest projects from five subject areas, which can encompass a variety of activities.
