Entrance and Exit Counseling
(Required for Stafford and Graduate Plus Loans)
All federal student loan borrowers are required to complete entrance counseling prior to disbursement of a federal loan. This should take approximately 15-20 minutes. An electronic response will be forwarded to Enrollment Services. Read more about Entrance Counseling and the rights and responsibilities of a Direct Loan borrower or Graduate PLUS borrower.
Federal Direct Student Loan and Grad PLUS Entrance Counseling
Prior to graduating or leaving college, borrowers are required to complete an exit counseling session. This online exit counseling session has been created to make sure that you understand your rights and responsibilities as a Direct Loan borrower. Graduating and non-returning students
Student loan borrowers who borrowed from the federal loan programs prior to October 2008 whose loans were processed thru a bank and not the Federal Direct Loan program should use this site to complete Exit Counseling as required by federal regulations. Enrollment Services will receive an electronic response once completed.
Exit Counseling for Graduates and students not returning to Lawrence Tech - use this site if you are graduating or not returning to Lawrence Tech and were a student loan borrower prior to October 2008 and have been requested to complete exit counseling.

A note to students who have borrowed under the Michigan Students First Program and the Michigan Engineering Incentive Program: Before considering a consolidation loan you should understand the terms and conditions of all of your loans so that you do not jeopardize any borrower benefits associated with those loans that could be lost at the time of consolidation.
