The library is located on the lower level of the Buell Management Building in the center of campus. Look for building number "4" on the LTU campus map.
Photocopying machines: Library has two digital copiers (10 cents per page) and one color copier (25 cents per page). You may use coins or dollar bills; change is available at the desk.
Reference: Librarians are on duty all hours that the library is open to assist users. (248) 204-3000 for assistance.
Book Renewals: You may renew books by telephone (248) 204-3009 or by bringing them into the library. Students, Faculty and Staff may renew books online via the link under "My Account" in the online catalog. You may renew books up to two times unless the book is on hold for another user. The only exception is for "New Books": they go out for three weeks and cannot be renewed.
Book Returns: Drop books in the slot in the front desk, or use the book return chute in the hallway. Do not leave books on the countertop.
Guest Users: Non-students are welcome to use the library, but have limited privileges, ask at the desk for details.
Where Materials are Located:

Circulating books can be checked-out, and are in the "LTU Library Stacks" shelved by the Library of Congress CALL NUMBER.

Periodicals are shelved alphabetically by TITLE.

Reserve books are kept behind the Circulation Desk.

Reference books are located near the Reference Desk and are for library use only.

Oversize books are shelved in a separate location just beyond the center magazine browsing shelves, in the first range of beige shelving stacks.

Albert Kahn Library is a specialized collection. A staff member can retrieve these materials. All Kahn Library books are listed in the online catalog.

Reciprocal Borrowing: Walk-in borrowing at Southfield Public Library and numerous local academic libraries. Click for the list of participating libraries.
