His research on adolescent risk behaviors and risk-reduction strategies has been published in the Journal of Adolescent Health, Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, and Preventive Medicine.

He is a professional engineer who worked in the private sector before coming to Lawrence Tech in 1988.

He started Lawrence Tech’s global engineering program with partnerships in Germany, Mexico, China, India, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Denmark. He has authored textbooks on engineering design and the mechanical desktop.
